I can move the pointer as normal (in the menu), but I cannot fire (a.k.a left mouse button) use crosshairs (a.k.a right mouse button) or select a weapon (a.k.a mouse wheel). I bought this game some days ago on steam as it is one of my favoraite game of all times i've completed the first mission without realising that the mouse is not working .Now I've tried multiple settings but nothing seems to happen. I am even unable to click the start menu options . Please help.
I'm not sure what is going on, but the mouse does not seem to work. I can navigate the menus with it, however in game it does nothing. There are random points when it begins to work not sure whats up. Any help it greatly appreciated.

J. JohnFromGWN. 2 years ago @meimeiriver. @meimeiriver Windows 11 will not apply chages to any GTA5 files or folders but permissions are particular. Ive seen a few instances on these forums where users with admin accounts had problems pop up unexpectedly. Windows 11 might also have reset some user account permissions.

This is most likely related to having a monitor with high refresh rate e.g. 144hz. There is a mod that fixes the issue called Fusionfix. Unfortunately there is currently no way to use it on Complete Edition (that I know of). Your options are to drop your refresh rate to 60hz, or find a non-CE copy of the game. Or wait.
