Multiplayer is much more active on BO2. Most of the TDM servers up on BO1 are Nuketown only, crouch only and the like. There's no more just general rotating map servers that are populated (abd located in the US anyway). If youre looking for the more active game, then BO2 is the way to go. With Vanguard doing so bad, and MW2 being the 1st COD ever to have a 2 year cycle, meaning 3 years till the next Treyarch Black OPs game, BOCW just might end up being the longest played COD ever. Plus only the 2nd COD ever to have crossplay. Also the last COD ever made on the classic black ops engine.
I've bought the PC version of Call of Duty Black Ops (the first one), and I am wondering if there is still some active players on the servers for multiplayer. Does anybody have an idea of how active multiplayer is on PC? Just picked it up a few days ago. Played it back on PS3 and it's my personal favourite Cod.
Multiplayer: Around 2000 to 4000 average players in Multiplayer. Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed, Search and Destroy, FFA and Party games still playable, the rest is completely dead. Sometimes you can find Multi Team and Hardpoint, but not often. You often join into the same lobbys, very annoying.

EU, yes. You can generally find games up to 3am EU time. Yes Eu servers ,stopped playing the game too many cheaters (some regulars) there is always a kid with full cheats in every lobby that ruin the game.Even the good players run cheats and cry like little baby's why did u kill them. Nah The only cod games that have security issues on steam currently is Call of Duty 1 - Black Ops 3 Infinite Warfare,World War 2 and Modern Warfare 2 2022 are safe and probably will be for awhile due to them not supporting mods and be overall way more secure

Mw2 is the most popular Call of Duty on steam in terms of year of release to players still playing it. It averages about 1000 players whereas most popular black ops 3 which is 6 years younger averages about 300 more. Just installed iw4x on my mw2. Seems to be a decent amount of people online.
