Its probably the hardest of the world bosses. As long as you have a DPS at max for your current AR you can sort of brute force it. Try building up one of your non-water mains and coming back. If one of your mains is Electro they will do really well here. Only other advice I can think of otherwise is the birds are the most dangerous.
What I meant to say is that the rewards are based on the Host's World Level. So seeing as he's hosting and is a lower WL, you'll get rewards based on that world since that's where you're initiating the event from. If you host, you should get your WL rewards and I think he will get a higher WL reward as well. Only way to find out is to test it.
