i think you mean display port 1.4 and hdmi 2.0, dp 1.4 is the latest and hdmi 2.1 is the latest hdmi dp and hdmi are different connectors so it means different cables. for hdmi most cables are good enough for the 2.0 spec at this point but for 2.1 not all cables are stable enough for this speeds.
